• Acts 20:22-24 (NIV)

And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there. I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardships are facing me. However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.

  • Notes

    The Process:

    1. Spirit’s PROMPTING
    2. Certain UNCERTAINTY
    3. Predictable RESISTANCE
    4. Uncommon CONFIDENCE

    Talk It Over

    • Have you ever experienced the Spirit’s prompting? How’d you know? What did you do?
    • Read Acts 20:22. What was Paul uncertain about? Did this change his decision? What can you learn from Paul?
    • How is the Spirit prompting you? What resistance might you face if you follow? What’s your next step?
